We're totally in the dark about the future, at this point. We were supposed to be going to VA Beach to the NMITC, but that is a no go, it would appear. We may be here in Cali for another few years. We may move some place totally different. Or, Tom may get out.
In regards to Del Mar: we're all moving back down there. They need to put the Enlisted folks that belong in these house in them. It does appear that the living in Del Mar will be nice, though. Same views, etc. but houses that aren't going to fall down around our ears.

ReplyDeleteYes, Ma'am, The Company Grade are very similar to what we're living in (2 story 3&4 bdrm) and the Field Grade are very similar to the houses that they built down there before they moved us or like the one I am in now (single story 3&4 bdrm). The Co Grade homes are the bulk of the area and the Field Grade are where Skipjack and Sailfish lanes used to be. Instead of two cul-de-sacs though, there is one drive like a U shape.

ReplyDeleteIt's not that I want to leave, per se. However, the time in Cali has been hard in a lot of ways. Getting over the 'dad issues' (or at least learning to cope a bit better with them) was hard. Losing my grandparents, etc. What can I say, I'm a FL girl at heart. Also, as long as we're here, Tom's going to be on a yearly rotation schedule.
Anyway, if Austen gets into his new school I will be good with staying here.
Oh and Company Grade is Lt - Capt and Field Grade is Maj - Col. Then there is General Grade, which I am sure your amazing hubby will be some day! Tom doesn't actually fall into any of those categories, but for housing purposes, CWOs get Company grade for WO-CWO3 and Field Grade for CWO4-5. We should be living pretty much exactly where we were:-)
